Most successful professionals I've worked with don't have a "savings" problem, they have a complexity problem. Whether you are a Utah Public Employee navigating the nuances of the URS or a high-performing professional, or entrepreneur, you have spent decades building the "what." I help you master the "how".

With over 10 years of experience, I serve as a Retirement Navigator specializing in Retirement Income Planning. I aim to bridge the gap between complex decisions (like pension options, Roth conversions, health insurance, and Social Security timing) to create a tax-efficient, life-lasting income plan that fulfills your personal goals.

Because I am ADHD-informed (and navigate the world with ADHD myself), I prioritize visual clarity over 80-page reports. My mission is to cut through the noise and decision paralysis to turn fragmented accounts and finances into a clear, visual roadmap that answers your most urgent question: "Am I going to be okay?".

How I Help You Navigate the Transition:

  • Integrated URS Strategy: I master the coordination of your pension, 401(k), and 457(b) to ensure your Utah state benefits are working in sync with your personal assets.

  • The F.I.R.E. & Early Retirement Path: For engineers, healthcare specialists, and entrepreneurs, I engineer strategies to help you reach financial independence by age 55 without compromising your family's current lifestyle.

  • Tax-Forward Income Planning: We optimize your withdrawal sequence and "bucket" your assets to protect your near-term cash flow from market volatility while minimizing your lifetime tax bill.

  • Proactive Accountability: You shouldn't have to chase your advisor. I initiate the reviews and "stress test" your projections so you can retire with a verified "permission slip" to spend your money

Life Beyond Finance

I believe financial planning should support a life filled with joy and meaningful connection. For me, that starts with my family. I married my best friend, Kara, in 2014 (we actually met in middle school band!), and we’re raising two energetic boys. Our house is a constant whirlwind of Nerf battles, Pokemon Play, and LEGO builds.

When I’m not running retirement income plans, I’m likely:

  • Relishing "Small Joys": I’m a massive Star Wars fan (I’ve built over 20 LEGO Star Wars ships and helmets) and a happy defender of In-n-Out as the best burger around (a hill I’m willing to die on after working there for three years while in college).

  • Listening & Learning: Whether it’s a pop-punk playlist for a kitchen dance party or a deep-dive podcast on my way to the office, I’m a lifelong learner. I’m currently pursuing my RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional) designation to further deepen my expertise in complex distribution strategies.

  • Prioritizing Connection: Kara and I make "date night" a weekly non-negotiable, even if it’s just DoorDash and a game of Bananagrams or just catching up on our favorite TV show (right now it's Shrinking on AppleTV).
